Whybie

Hi friends, I'm Whybie. (Please don't judge me for wearing my pajamas for my photos)

I'm a sweet, handsome northern guy (which should be no surprise, since I look like I'm made of snow hehe) and I'm here at GTHS to find a wonderful, loving home!

At around one year old and 60lbs, I'm that perfect age and size for most families.

And as I mentioned, I came to GTHS through the Transfer Program after making a very long trip down south with some other doggies. Despite my long journey and new environment, I'm really adjusting quite well and settling in nicely here at GTHS while I wait for my new family to find me.

The GTHS humans say that I'm a very lovely good boy, though still VERY puppy-ish! So, I hope you're prepared for that. This will means lots of exercise for me please, because I'm a very active boy. Plus, our training sessions together will likely be much more successful after I'd had a good walk or hike and run around in the backyard!

In addition to exercise, I'm excited for us to be able to learn lots of new things together. Like basic commands and doggie manners (I've heard this is quite important and that humans really enjoy having a well behaved boy in their home).

I've been doing a great job learning this thing called "leash skills" too. So, if you're willing to continue showing me how to walk nicely with you, that will just make our walks together that much more enjoyable in the future!

Sometimes, though, when I'm excited about a walk or about playtime, I can get a little TOO excited and show my excitement by "mouthing" at clothes and arms sometimes (oops, I heard this isn't very polite...). So, while I learn that isn't the way I should act when I'm happy or excited, the GTHS humans have asked that I find a family with no young kids; adults only for me (18+).

Uhmm...I'm also pretty unsure about those sharp furry things you humans call "cats" so I'd like to find a home with none of them please.

Oh! AND I've been a very good boy and playmate with the other doggies I've met here at GTHS. It's so much fun and another great way for me to ditch some puppy energy! So, it sure would be nice if my new humans had friends or neighbours who had a suitable doggie friend for me to play with sometimes.

Last but not least, a nice big fenced back yard comes highly recommended by the GTHS humans. I'm the kind of guy who needs a safe, enclosed space for zoomies and to burn off some energy, so that will be VERY important in my new home too please!

I'm an all-around good boy who just needs a human to help me learn my basics and then I'll be such a well behaved best friend for you.

So, if a young, active (handsome, obviously) and outdoorsy guy sounds like what you're looking for, then please make an appointment to discuss bringing me home!

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. I can't wait to meet you soon!

Wags,
xoxo Whybie
