Adopt Me: Wheezer wants alll the attention (adopted)

His adoption fee has been lowered due to a congested nose, which isn't much of an issue aside from occasional snoring

The shelter says it’s difficult to take a good picture of him, as he wants ALL the attention and cannot be near a person without reaching out for them

CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Wheezer

Hey humans, it's me, Wheezer! I'm a handsome little one-year-old guy and weight about 9lbs. I came to the GTHS quite a while ago, after a lovely human found me outside all alone and thought I should come somewhere safe.

So, here I am! Safe and sound at the GTHS and ready to find a furever family to love.

The GTHS humans describe me as a "lover" so I mean, it doesn't get much better than that, does it? I'm a very social and affectionate boy and always want to be by your side or, you know, ON you haha laps are my favourite.

So, one thing I've got to tell you is that because I love getting love SO much, sometimes I can get a little carried away or "overstimulated" as the humans call it, and either get SOO excited about all the attention (or sooo worried that you've stopped petting me before I was done enjoying it) that I'll sometimes use my little claws or teefs in an inappropriate way.

I'm not trying to be mean or hurt you, I promise!! I'm just still learning how to manage all these feelings....I JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Oh and, remember earlier when I said I had arrived at GTHS quite some time ago? Well, that's because I was not feeling very good for a bit there. The humans and cat doctor took great care of me, but it did take me a while to start feeling better.

Although I'm feeling much better now and am healthy, I think I will always have this cute little congested sounding nose. (I think that is why the hoomans called me Wheezer..I am a wee wheezy) So, I hope you don't mind some occasional snoring...hehe

Because of this however, the GTHS humans have put me in what's called the Special Paws Program. This means I'm being adopted out with a bit of a medical issue and so they've lowered my adoption fee to help me find my purrrfect home!

My adoption fee is only $25 and includes my neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip!

If you're a cat experienced person who had a good understanding of kitty body language and if you LOVE an affectionate cat, I could be the guy for you!

I hope my special someone finds me soon...
