Rouge

Hi humans, my name is Rouge. Some of you may remember me – I’ve been spotlighted before! I'm a gorgeous four-year-old girl here at GTHS to find a loving new home. Oh, I'm a lovely sized girl too at about 11lbs.

I first arrived at GTHS back in fall of 2020 with two other kitties after our human fell ill and couldn't care for us anymore. I was adopted out briefly to a lovely family, but unfortunately it just didn't work out, so I'm back.

Please don't feel too sad for me! I'm very ready to find a new family to love and my purrrfect placement this time around.

Like a lot of kitties, all this change has been pretty tough on me...It's taken me a while to settle in, as change is hard for me. So, I hope my new family will keep that in mind when they bring me home....I need time, patience and understanding while I get used to yet another change in my life.

It has taken me some time to trust the GTHS humans here (and even now, after a few weeks of being here, I am still a bit hesitant at times) but there is a beautiful soul beneath all this nervousness!

I get nervous and stressed out pretty easily, so I will need a human who understands this and knows how to decipher kitty body language. I truly am a very sweet girl, it just takes me a bit more time than most kitties to trust new people and to gain confidence in a new setting.

If you've got cat experience and have a calm, quiet home with no tiny humans and where I can be your only pet, then maybe you and I might be a good fit. If you're okay to give me the time I need to settle into your home and learn to trust and love you, then I promise in return you'll see a beautiful, lovely and affectionate kitty companion blossom right in front of your eyes!

My adoption fee is $125 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, de-wormer and a microchip.

I can't wait to start this new life with a human of my very own soon.

Cautious purrs,
Rouge
