Prudence

Oh hi everyone, I'm Prudence! I'm also affectionately referred to as "Prude with a 'tude" or "Rudey Prudey" haha I'm a big 15lb lady, and am still young at only about two years old.

I arrived at GTHS not too long ago when some things changed at home. One of the humans is always sneezing and not feeling too well... I guess it's something called "allergies"? So, here I am at GTHS to find a new family.

I'll admit, arriving here at the Animal Center was a pretty big change for me and it's taking me a while to get settled and feel comfortable.

I'm a very independent girl and will need humans who are okay giving me time to adjust to my new home. Patience and understanding is the key to success with me!

My previous family said I was a very affectionate girl but on "my terms" (which is maybe where the "rudey Prudey" came from hehe). I truly am sweet, but just have a little side of sass too *wink*

Due to my difficult transition (for the time being) the GTHS humans are referring to me as a "Spirit Cat!" This means I'm a little under-socialized when it comes to new people and new places, and am looking to find a VERY specific home in order to be a happy, stress-free Prudence.

There's a bit more to tell you about...and I guess you're probably wondering why I'm an "underdog." Well, the GTHS humans have found that I have a behaviour they refer to as "overstimulation".

I'm not really sure what this means, but they say that sometimes I can't regulate my...feelings....and react in naughty ways. Oopsie... So, due to my overstimulated behaviour, I will be looking to find a VERY cat-experienced human to bring me home. Familiarity with this behaviour and a very good understanding of kitty body language is going to be a huge help for our success together!

I guess you could say I'm just a lady who knows what she likes, doesn't like and sometimes has slightly...inappropriate outlets when I get a bit too stimulated.

Oh and uhm, the GTHS humans are looking to find me a home with no young children, please (14+). Oh and if I could ask one last thing, I'd like to be your one and only pet too, pretty please.

I know I need a bit of a special home and special human, and it might take me a little bit of time to settle into my new home and for my true, lovely purrsonality to come out, but I also know my purrfect place is out there somewhere!

My underdog adoption fee is just $25 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, de-wormer and a microchip. I can't wait for my special someone to find me soon!

Paws crossed with hope,

xoxo Prudey
