CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Ebony, the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week.
This beautiful cat is an eight-year-old domestic short-hair/mix. She has been at the GTHS for over 65 days, so she has been patiently waiting to find a new home to call her own.
Ebony is an independent lady, but you can win her over with lots of pets and chin scritches. Just make sure you go slowly at first — it’s the best way to win her over. Then you will see how much of a sweetheart she is. The GTHS team also suggests she would do best in a home without small kids.
If you are wondering why she is in the GTHS Special Paws program, it’s because she has some health concerns. She is on a special diet that helps keep her skin feeling comfortable and not itchy. It’s important she stay on this diet.
