CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Hope, the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week.

Hope is a super-sweet little kitten at the GTHS waiting to find her forever home. Hope is a playful girl but can be a bit shy at first. If you’re willing to be patient and take things slowly, she will show you her warm and cuddly side before you know it.

Hope is in the Special Paws program, as she tends to keep her head tilted to one side because of a polyp she had in her mouth. The doctors have taken good care of her and have removed the polyp, but Hope is still holding her head at an angle. She will likely grow out of it, but it is something that will require follow-up if it continues into adulthood.

Hope’s Special Paws adoption fee is $25 and includes her spay, internal and external parasite treatments, up-to-date vaccinations and an ID microchip.

If you want to learn more about Hope, visit the GTHS and speak with one of the adoption counsellors. The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12 to 4 p.m. every day of the week, and adoption counsellors would be thrilled to introduce you to Hope.
