Adopt Me: Chloe and Delilah (adopted)

They would prefer a home with no children

CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Chloe and Delilah

Hi there humans, my name is Chloe! I'm a beautiful two-year-old and am a nice sized kitty at about 11lbs. I arrived here at the GTHS not too long ago, after some things changed for my humans and they were no longer able to care for me. You may have also noticed my baby picture. That's right, I was actually at GTHS a couple years ago too as a young kitten.

So, I arrived back at GTHS with my BFF Delilah. Right now, we are completely dependent on one another and are always found snuggled up. So, if you're looking for two cats, we sure would love to go home together!

In fact, we actually help each one other's confidence too. The GTHS humans say that we're a "bonded pair" which means we get pretty stressed out when separated, so we'll be looking for a wonderful home together, please.

Now, even though I'm very excited to finally have a family, I am a bit of a special lady, needing a bit of a special placement. Coming back to the Animal Center has been pretty overwhelming for Delilah and I.

So, I'm what they refer to as a "spirit cat." This means there's a good chance I haven't had a lot of interactions or exposure to new people or new places, so I'm a little shy and unsure at first. I'll need an extra special someone who is willing to give me lots of time to get to know them. So, please be patient with me as I take my time learning to trust you...because once you've gained my trust, you'll see this shy kitty blossom into such a sweet little thing who will happily accept all the lovin' you have to offer!

If you're willing to give me the time I need to get to know you, I promise there is nothing more rewarding than that first time when I actually come out from hiding and approach you for some attention, or come sit beside you on the couch while you're reading or watching TV.

Oh and if I can ask for another favour? Please no tiny humans in my new home! I'm just learning to be comfortable with fully grown humans who don't mind going slow and steady with me...

I know it'll take a special someone to bring me home, but I sure hope that special someone finds me soon!! Take a chance on a shy girl like me and I promise, with time, you'll be rewarded with SUCH a wonderful kitty companion!

Paws crossed with hope,
xoxo Chloe

Our bonded adoption fee (for us both!) is only $190 and includes our spays, up to date vaccinations, de-wormers and microchips.
