Adopt Me: Chewy is looking for an understanding owner (adopted)

He is FIV+, but that doesn't mean I can't live a long and happy life with you!

Chewy

Oh, hello there, my name is Chewy. I'm a shy and sweet guy here at GTHS to find myself a very special home. I'm three years old and a lovely-sized boy at about 11lbs.

I wasn't too enthusiastic during my photo shoot, so you'll have to excuse my less than impressed-looking pictures. They sure don't do my handsomeness justice. I have a beautiful black coat and the purrfect little white patch on my chest!

Anyways, as I was saying, I'm a bit of a shy guy but that could just be because moving here to GTHS has been a bit overwhelming. I just like to take things at my own speed, get settled in, and get to know new people nice and slowly.

The humans here have been very respectful and have a nice calm, quiet visits with me which helps me learn to trust them much quicker.

If I'm feeling unsure, I like to tuck myself away in the safety of a hidey-hole or under a blankie. So, I hope my new family won't mind providing me with some nice spots like this if I'm feeling a little scared... it sure will help me feel comfortable in my new home quicker!

I really, really am SUCH a sweet boy! I just need a special someone who is okay giving me the bit of extra time I need, then you'll see the true Chewy blossom before your eyes hehe

In my previous home, I lived with another kitty and we got along great and even lived with some tiny humans and was very gentle with them (I know, hard to believe a shy guy like me is good with kids but I sure can be if they're respectful and as long as I'm able to take the time I need to get to know everyone and settle in first).

Oh, but one last thing to share with you... and that's about me being an FIV+ kitty. Don't worry though - that doesn't mean I can't live a long and happy life with you! I am a special kitty but I don't require much more care than any other cat. I should be kept indoors only but besides that, all I need is a vet visit twice a year to make sure I'm in my best shape, and staying up to date on my vaccinations is important!

My adoption fee is $125 and includes my neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, de-wormer, and a microchip. I can't wait for my special someone to find me soon!

Paws crossed with hope,
xoxo Chewy
