CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week is Brutus.

This handsome mixed-breed dog is looking for a forever home. Brutus came to the GTHS after being found as a stray, and he is a big boy — 74 pounds.

The GTHS team say he is an outgoing and bubbly dog with a playful side. When it comes to being around other dogs, he is very friendly. However, he does have lots of energy, which can be a bit much for some dogs; slow on-leash introductions will be important for him.

He can also be a bit of a nervous dog. When meeting people at the GTHS for the first time, Brutus was a bit unsure. After some time, his personality really blossomed. He will need a family or an individual who has good experience with nervous dogs to help him build his confidence. It would also be best if he has a home with no young kids.
