Bonnie

Hi friends, Bonnie here, and let me tell you - I'm just as beautiful on the inside as I am out on the outside! I'm a sweet little thing at about a year and a half and a truly great size for a lot of families, as I'm just shy of 50lbs.

You may have guessed it but I'm a northern girl too. I made the long trip from northern Ontario down to GTHS a little while ago and I sure am excited about finding a fun new family to love.

I was one extra lucky girl, as I was able to spend a fair bit of my time in an awesome foster home before I arrived at GTHS. Foster mom says I am SWEET as can be! I'm incredibly affectionate and love a good snuggle with the humans.

Not only am I a big love bug but I'm also a very clever dog (and mega food-motivated haha that definitely helps when it comes to training). I learned "sit" very quickly and am working on "down". Together, we could WOW your friends with all the cool tricks and obedience we'll learn together!

It probably goes without saying that I'm a young and active girl too, so finding a family or human who can meet my exercise needs will certainly be important! I'm already so excited about all the cool outdoor adventures we'll have together. Walks, hikes, maybe swims? maybe camping?! SO fun! Oh and please, please have a nice fenced yard for me to play in.

I will also let you know that I was adopted into a wonderful home for a short while too. My humans had nothing but wonderful things to say about me, like, how laidback and calm I am, that I've had no accidents and sleep well all night long. Things like how much I love my cozy dog bed and playing in the snow. I love car rides and am really starting to do well on leash, too!

I guess the last thing to mention before I wrap this up is that I'm a little "choosey" when it comes to other doggie friends. I can confidently say that I absolutely prefer the company of humans over other canines.

The GTHS humans say it will be important that I find a human who can be understanding of this and help ensure all interactions with new dog friends are positive and include nice slow introductions. Because of this, I sure would like it if I can be the only dog in my next home, please! I hope that's not too much to ask...

I just know I will immediately fit right into just about ANY home that is interested in adding a happy, friendly, loving, and playful young dog to their family, who thrives on attention and cuddles.

My adoption fee is $450 and includes my spay, up-to-date vaccinations, de-wormer, and a microchip.

I can't wait to meet my special someone soon and start this fun new chapter together.

Happy wags,
xoxo Bonnie
