Blistex

Oh, hello there, my name is Blistex. I'm a shy and sweet guy here at GTHS to find myself a very special home. I'm about three years old and a good-sized boy at about 12lbs. As I'm sure you can already tell, I'm an incredibly handsome boy with this beautiful grey coat of mine.

Oh! and here's something kind of cool... I'm actually not from around here. I arrived at GTHS through the Transfer Program and made the long trip here from way up in northern Ontario.

I'm a very sweet cat who can be a bit nervous to start. Slow and steady is the key with me and thankfully the GTHS humans are totally fine with taking things at my pace. They're making sure to give me all the time I need to settle in and get to know them... which I sure do appreciate!

For the time being, the GTHS humans are referring to me as a "Spirit Cat". This means I'm a little under-socialized when it comes to new people and new places, and am looking to find a VERY specific home in order to be a happy, stress-free boy.

I'll admit, a kitty like me requires a lot of patience and understanding, as it takes me quite a while to get settled and learn to trust new humans. Though I'm still settling in here and am pretty nervous, I am very curious about the humans and what they're up to every day (though I watch the goings-on from the safety of my hidey-hole, of course).

My new family will just really need to be understanding of my "Spirit Cat-ness" and please, please be patient with me. Spirit cats can sometimes take months and months before we feel comfortable in our new surroundings. But if you're willing to give me the time I need to get to know you, I promise there is nothing more rewarding than that first time when I actually come out from hiding and approach you for some attention, or come sit beside you on the couch while you're reading or watching TV.

Oh and if I can ask one last favour? Due to my shy nature, I'll likely do best in a home with no tiny humans please! Adults only would be just purrfect. Oh and if I could please ask to be your one and only fur baby, that sure would be great too!

Quiet mornings together while you have your coffee and read the paper, and evenings spent curled up on the couch by the fire while you watch TV. *Sigh* it sounds wonderful...

My adoption fee is $125 and includes my neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, de-wormer, and a microchip.

I can't wait for my special someone to find me soon!

Paws crossed with hope,
xoxo Blistex
