Ava

Hi everyone,

My name is Ava.

I'm a stunning 7-year-old kitty who is looking for a bit of a special home and special someone. I arrived at the Animal Centre back in April when some things changed at home and I wasn't coping too well with having tiny humans around.

So, my family made the decision that was best for me and brought me to GTHS so I could find a wonderful new (child-free) home!

I am now ready for adoption and am looking for a specific sort of someone, so please read my profile carefully. For the time being, the GTHS humans are referring to me as a "Spirit Cat", which means I am a little undersocialized when it comes to new people and new places and will need ample time to settle in in order for me to be a happy, stress-free girl.

Once I've finally settled in and am feeling comfortable, I'm truly a very affectionate, curious, playful, and silly lady. I am curious about humans and while I might not ever be a cuddler or a kitty who likes to be picked up for a snuggle, I do LOVE human company. I will happily rub against your legs and I really love play time too (wands especially) and the GTHS humans say this is a very good, appropriate outlet for my energy.

The GTHS humans have found that I have a behaviour they refer to as overstimulation. I'm not really sure what this means but they say that sometimes I can't regulate my...feelings... I think I've heard the humans use the word "threshold" and that being familiar with kitty body language will be a big help in my future home!

I guess you could say I'm just a lady who knows what she likes, doesn't like and sometimes has slightly...inappropriate outlets when I get a bit too stimulated. The GTHS humans have a great timeline they can share with you about how long I will need to settle into my new home and how long I'll need a little "space" before we really start loving each other up!

Oh, and uhm, last thing! The GTHS humans are looking to find me an all grownups home! No young children, please. GTHS is recommending 18+ for me but of course, it depends on the experience! Oh, and if I could ask one last thing, I'd like to be your one and only cat too, pretty please.

I know I need a bit of a special home and special human, and it might take me a little bit of time to settle into my new home and for my true, lovely purrsonality to come out, but I also know my purrfect place is out there somewhere.

My Underdog adoption fee is just $25 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip (and of course lots of information about how to ensure our success together)!

I can't wait for my special someone to find me soon!

Paws crossed with hope,

xoxo your Ava
