CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

You don't have to look all over time and space to find this Karmen, a four-year-old cat, who is this week's Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week.

Karmen prefers to be an only pet, but that's because she wants all the human attention to herself. Unfortunately, she's been waiting for a home for 102 days.

She's part of the Special Paws program because she requires a special diet for digestion. The GTHS will send Karmen to her new home with a bag of the special food to get her started.

The Special Paws adoption fee is $25, which includes Karmen's spay, internal and external parasite treatments, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and the bag of food.

Visit the GTHS and speak to an adoption counselor to learn more. You can also find Karmen online at gths.ca. The GTHS is open for adoptions from noon to 4 p.m., every single day of the week.
