Connie

Oh, hi humans, my name is Connie. Please, please....don't skip me and move onto the other "prettier" kitties without reading my story first!

After all, what is it that they say? Don't judge a cat by their cover? Or something sort of like that...

Anyways, like I was saying, I'm Connie! I'm a six-year-old kitty who arrived at the GTHS after being found as a stray here in Collingwood. If you think I look a little, um....rough....now, you should have seen me when I first arrived. Man, I look like a beauty queen now in comparison!

So, I actually did get adopted already, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Maybe it was having to take care of myself outside all alone, but turns out I'm a little feisty when it comes to other kitties, so I will now need to find a home where I can be the only cat resident.

It was also noted that I can get a bit "overstimulated" as the GTHS humans call it. That just means that sometimes I have a limit to exactly how many pats in a row I like, so if you go one too many, I'll let you know heheh hey, we all have our quirks, right?

That being said, I got to go into one of these cool foster home thingys for a while, and my foster mom said I was great! Very quiet, very polite and very well-behaved in her home. I'm actually very affectionate (without being one of those needy, overly affectionate cats, you know?). I like attention and sometimes use my little nibbly teeth to ask for MORE attention! Naughty habit, I know...

Besides my need for attention when I want it, I'm a pretty independent girl. I like to do my own thing, like snoozing in cozy spots or watching the world through the windows.

At nighttime, I like best to have some company, so I'll usually go find my Foster humans and spend the night wherever they are. Anyways, I guess all I'm trying to say is that I'm very sweet and affectionate, and am just the kind of girl who knows what she wants and when.

Oh, and I guess before I wrap this up, I should explain why I'm in the "Special Paws" program. The humans say I have food allergies, so I just have to be on a special kind of kitty diet. No biggie, right?!

Because I'm a "Special Paws" cat, my adoption fee is only $25 and includes my spay, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.

I hope I find my purrrfect family soon!

Purrs,
xoxo Connie
