Collingwood's voters have been taking advantage of advance voting options to cast their ballots for the municipal election.

With seven days remaining before election day on Oct. 24, already 13.65 per cent of voters have made their marks. Advance voting online or in person at the Collingwood Public Library opened Oct. 8.

The Town of Collingwood reports the advance poll numbers daily.

Deputy Clerk Becky Dahl confirmed there are currently 21,906 eligible voters registered in Collingwood, but there's still time to register to vote.

To vote online, eligible voters can use the information mailed to them to vote on a computer or smart device at home. Voters can also visit the third floor of the Collingwood Public Library on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Oct. 24 to vote online or with a paper ballot.

If you are eligible to vote, but not yet registered, you can visit the town website to register or look yourself up on the voter's list. Anyone and their spouse, who owns or rents property in Collingwood is eligible to vote in the municipal election.

Election day is Oct. 24. To learn more about the candidates running in Collingwood, visit collingwoodtoday.ca/municipal-election.
