2022 Remembrance Day Ceremonies and Town Hall Closure

Remembrance Day 2021

The Town of The Blue Mountains joins communities across Canada in commemorating Remembrance Day on Friday, November 11. The following ceremonies are available to the community: 

Thornbury Remembrance Day Service
Date: Friday, November 11, 2022
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Thornbury Cenotaph at Jack Acres Park

Ravenna Remembrance Day Service
Date: Friday, November 11, 2022
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: Ravenna Cenotaph at Ravenna Memorial Park

For those who wish to learn more about the area's local military history, The Blue Mountains Public Library has online exhibits available on its website.

In addition, the Town would like to advise residents that Town Hall will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022, in recognition of Remembrance Day. Town Hall will reopen on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. 

There will be no interruption to regularly scheduled curbside waste collection due to Remembrance Day.
