Two new case of COVID-19 reported in Grey Highlands today

There are currently 32 active cases and 88 high-risk contacts across both Grey and Bruce counties

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 in the region today. 

The new cases reported in the past 24-hours are located in Grey Highlands (2), Huron-Kinloss (2), Southgate, Saugeen Shores and Kincardine.

The health unit has reported a total of 662 cases in the region to date, and notes there are 32 active cases in both counties combined. 

One individual from the region is being hospitalized, and the health unit reported its first COVID-19 related death on Jan. 30. 

Active cases in Grey County are currently located in Owen Sound (3), Southgate (1), Grey Highlands (2), The Blue Mountains (2) and Hanover (8). 

The health unit is currently tracking 88 high-risk contacts associated with active cases.

Of GBHU’s 662 cumulative cases, 629 cases have recovered.

Resolved COVID-19 cases in Grey County include: Owen Sound (96); Southgate (81); Grey Highlands (67); West Grey (47); Blue Mountains (42); Hanover (32); Meaford (23); Georgian Bluffs (7); Chatsworth (8).
