TBM needs volunteers for local committees

Board/committee appointments are for the 2022-26 term of council

The Town of The Blue Mountains is looking for volunteers to join a number of local committees.

The town is seeking applications, in the form of letters of interest, from members of the public for appointment to the following town committees and boards. The committee appointment runs concurrent with the term of council, being 2022-26:

  • The Blue Mountains Police Services Board (one)
  • The Blue Mountains committee of adjustment (four)
  • The Blue Mountains library board (six)*

Applicants are encouraged to include background information and any special qualifications or interest related to a particular committee or board. Applicants may apply for more than one committee and/or board and the town asks anybody interested in multiple committees to submit separate applications for each committee/board. All members of such committees or boards shall be qualified electors in the town.

Anybody with questions about the library board should contact library CEO Sabrina Saunders at 519-599-3681. Applicants must meet legislated eligibility requirements. Library board applicants are encouraged to visit the library’s website for details on screening and interviews. A public information session for library board applicants is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in The Gallery at L.E. Shore. Interviews for candidates will occur Nov. 26 and 27.
