Today is the final day for candidates to sign up to run for a seat at the council table next term.
Those wishing to run in the municipal and school board election in October must submit their nomination applications by 2 p.m. today (Aug. 19).

Voters will only vote for one of the board trustees. By default a voters card will include the English public board, unless a voter has directed their school board taxes to a Catholic or French board.

Election day is Oct. 24.
The Blue Mountains will be using internet and telephone voting only, with no paper ballots. Advance voting begins at 10 a.m. on Oct. 14.
Grey Highlands is using both internet and in-person voting methods this year. In-person voting will be available on election day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Grey Highlands municipal office. Advance voting will take place Oct. 8, 9, 15, and 16 at select community centres in the municipality. Internet voting opens at 10 a.m. on Oct. 7.
