TBM continues to need volunteers for local committees

The Town of The Blue Mountains continues to seek applications from the public for several local boards and committees.

The applications would take the form of letters of interest from members of the public for appointment to the following town committees and boards:

  • The Blue Mountains Police Services Board (1)
  • The Blue Mountains Committee of Adjustment (4)
  • The Blue Mountains Library Board (6)

The appointments run for the current term of council from 2022 to 2026.

During her inaugural address at council’s first meeting, new Mayor Andrea Matrosovs encouraged members of the public to get involved with town business by serving on a board, committee or a local task force.

Applicants are encouraged to include background information and any special qualifications or interest related to a particular Committee or Board. Applicants may apply for more than one committee and/or board and are asked to submit separate applications for each committee/board. All members of such committees or boards shall be qualified electors within the Town of The Blue Mountains.

Those interested in serving must submit their applications by no later than Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022 1 p.m. to Town of The Blue Mountains, Attention: Town Clerk, 32 Mill Street, Thornbury, Ontario, N0H 2P0.

Questions regarding the library board, can be directed to, Dr. Sabrina Saunders, CEO, Blue Mountains Public Library, at (519) 599-3681. Applicants must meet legislated eligibility. Library board applicants are encouraged to visit the library website for details on screening and interviews. Interviews for candidates will occur on Nov. 26-27.
