One new case of COVID-19 reported in the Blue Mountains today

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the Town of the Blue Mountains (TBM) today. 

In addition, GBHU reported two cases of COVID-19 in TBM on Jan. 29. 

There are currently two active cases within the municipality and there have been 43 resolved cases in TBM. 

The health unit has reported a total of 649 cases in the region to date, and notes there are 30 active cases in both counties combined. 

Two individuals from the region are being hospitalized, and the health unit reported the first COVID-19-related death in the region on Jan. 30. 

Active cases in Grey County are currently located in Owen Sound (6), Grey Highlands (1), West Grey (2), The Blue Mountains (2), Hanover (6), and Chatsworth (1). 

The health unit is currently tracking 68 high-risk contacts associated with active cases.

Of GBHU’s 649 cumulative cases, 618 cases have recovered.

Resolved COVID-19 cases in Grey County include: Owen Sound (92); Southgate (81); Grey Highlands (66); West Grey (45); Blue Mountains (43); Hanover (30); Meaford (23); Georgian Bluffs (7); Chatsworth (8).
