New case of COVID-19 confirmed in The Blue Mountains today

This is the first case reported in the municipality since May 13

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting one new lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Town of the Blue Mountains (TBM) today.

In its daily situation report, the health unit confirms two new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, one in TBM and another in Bruce County’s Huron Kinloss.

The TBM has now seen a total of six COVID-19 cases.

The first case of COVID-19 was detected in TBM on April 27 and TBM has not reported any new cases since May 13.

The Grey Bruce region is now reporting 101 total cases, 91 of which are being reported as recovered and five have been transferred to other health units.

There are currently five active cases of COVID-19 in the GBHU's region and no one has been hospitalized or died due to COVID-19.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Grey County include - Owen Sound (47); Southgate (12); Grey Highlands (6); Blue Mountains (6); West Grey (5); Georgian Bluffs (1); Meaford (1); Chatsworth (1); Hanover (0). Bruce County currently has 22 confirmed cases.
