Folks in Collingwood and area have a hot new place to buy cool jazz…and a whole lot more. Welcome to the newly combined All That Jazz + East End Music, located in the East End Vendor’s Market at 7272 Highway 26 in Stayner.

“Another merchant and I each had a business selling records and other audio merchandise and we decided to join forces and put both of our businesses together,” said Gord Crawford. “We sell really high-quality merchandise. We use the universal grading system for vinyl, and you are absolutely encouraged to try before you buy, so you can hear the quality of record you are thinking of purchasing,” he explained.

“We clean all of our records with ultrasonic cleaning, to get that really clean sound without damaging the vinyl,” he added. The store is also happy to use the ultrasonic to clean customers’ vinyl collections, for a fee.

The business has a large inventory of vinyl records in all genres of music, including rock, classical, jazz, blues, metal, punk, rap, and soul, according to Crawford. “We bring in a lot of new product from Europe and the UK as well, this is really the place to go to get something special,” he said.

As well as new and used vinyl and CDs, the store carries new and used turntables, receivers, amps, ultrasonic cleaners, and everything needed to run a fantastic listening station in your own home. “We also sell phono preamps, which most new receivers need to run a turntable these days. We just have a really good selection of audio equipment,” said Crawford.

The business runs a free turntable clinic two or three times a year, where customers can bring in their turntables and get them tuned up. Repairs can also be quoted and made there as well. “I have been fixing turntables for fifty years,” said Crawford, “so there isn’t much I don’t know about them.”

“We are getting a lot of new customers, from around here and even from Toronto, who have heard about our selection and want to see what we are all about. It’s very gratifying,” said Crawford.
