Woman suffers 'life-altering' injuries in Clearview crash

Collision Monday at County Road 91 and Fairgrounds Road involved passenger vehicle, tractor-trailer
A woman suffered serious injuries when the vehicle she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer Monday in Clearview Township.

Members of the Huronia West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Simcoe County Paramedic Services and Clearview Fire Department responded to a collision that occurred on County Road 91 and Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township Monday night at 4:45 p.m.

The collision involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle that left the female driver of the passenger vehicle trapped.

Clearview Fire Department worked quickly to extricate the trapped driver, who was transported by air to a Toronto-area hospital with life-altering injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.

County Road 91 was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team continued with the investigation.
