Woman passes cop in town, charged with drunk driving

According to police, her breath samples registered nearly double the legal limit for blood alcohol content.

WASAGA BEACH - On March 16, 2019 at approximately 8:04 a.m., a member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a motor vehicle on River Rd. West in Wasaga Beach after a police cruiser was overtaken in a 50km/hr zone.  Officers quickly determined that the female driver was operating it while under the influence of alcohol.

She was transported to the Huronia West Detachment for breath tests and two suitable samples of breath were provided, registering 186 and 188 mg/100mL blood. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days and her drivers licence was suspended 90 days.

20 year old Bailey Tryon is charged with:

•CC 320.14(1)(a) adult operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

•CC 320/14(1)(b) adult operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

She is to appear in Collingwood Court on April 2, 2019.
