Two people taken to hospital after crash on Hwy 26 in Craigleith

A pick-up and a Honda Civic collided on the highway in the evening on Aug. 4, injuries are reported as non-life-threatening

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 in the evening on Aug. 4 sent two people to hospital.

Two people were taken to hospital after a collision on Highway 26 yesterday evening (Aug. 4). 

According to police, a Honda Civic made a u-turn on the highway in Craigleith and into the path of a GMC pick-up. Both the occupants of the Civic were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, reported OPP. There were no injuries reported for the driver of the pick-up. 

Police have charged the driver of the Civic under the Highway Traffic Act. 

Traffic in the area was backed up for a couple of hours while the scene was cleared.
