Two people arrested after two break-ins at same Wasaga business

Two people from Wasaga Beach have been charged with break-and-enter offences after police say they were caught on video surveillance twice. 

Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the community street crime unit investigated two break-and-enter reports for the same business on Marlwood Avenue in Wasaga Beach. One break-in was reported to have occurred on Oct. 28 and the other on Nov. 20. Surveillance cameras captured footage from both break-ins showing the same pair or people each time. 

A 44 year-old and 45-year-old from Wasaga Beach were arrested and charged with break and enter, two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of mischief, motor vehicle theft, and break-and-enter with intent. 

One of the accused was held in custody and a court appearance on Feb. 8, the other was released and is scheduled to appear in court on March 21. 

The charges have not been proven in court.
