Two face numerous charges in Clearview assault, kidnapping investigation

CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - Members of the Huronia West Ontario Crime Unit have made two arrests as a result of an ongoing assault investigation in Clearview Township.

On Nov. 15, 2020 approximately 11:30 am, Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a male and female in distress at a gas station in the Stayner area. Both parties advised that they were assaulted and held against their will at a residence on County Road 7, Clearview Township.

With assistance from the Huronia West Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactical Response Unit (TRU) and Aviation Services and two parties were taken into custody.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident are currently executing a search warrant.

Raymond Levesque (age 49) of Stayner, Ont. was arrested and charged with:
    •    CC 267(c) adult assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle
    •    CC 267(a) adult assault with a Weapon
    •    CC 279(1.1)(b) adult kidnapping confine x3
    •    CC 279(2) adult forcible confinement x3
    •    CC 87 adult pointing a firearm
    •    CC88 adult possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

Tracey Mills (age 53) of Wasaga Beach was arrested and charged with:
    •    CC 267(c) adult assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle x2
    •    CC 267(a) adult assault with a weapon x4
    •    CC 279(1.1)(b) adult kidnapping confine x3
    •    CC 279(2) adult forcible confinement x3
    •    CC 87 adult pointing a firearm
    •    CC88 adult possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

Both parties were held for a bailing hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and further information to be released once available.
