TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA - On April 21, 2019 at approximately 9:29 p.m., a member of Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single motor vehicle collision on Kathleen Avenue at Mallory Beach Road in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

The vehicle, which was hauling a small utility trailer, had left the roadway and struck a support wire for a hydro pole before rolling onto its passenger side. The lone driver was not injured.

After an odour of alcohol was detected, the driver was given a road side breath test which registered a "fail" on the approved screening device. He was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Wiarton detachment for breath tests. The driver failed to provide a suitable breath sample as required.

Pierce Frank Pimiskern, age 29, of Collingwood, was charged with failure to comply with demand contrary to section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 9, 2019 in Owen Sound.
