Single vehicle collision results in impaired charge for 62-year-old

TOWNSHIP OF ARRAN-ELDERSLIE - Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Hanover man with impaired operation of a motor and with having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system after investigating a single vehicle collision.

On Jan. 20, 2019 at approximately 12:33 a.m., Grey County OPP received a report of a vehicle in the ditch, running, on the Grey-Bruce Line in the Township of Arran-Elderslie.

Police arrived and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.

The 62-year old driver is scheduled to appear in Court on Jan. 31, 2019 in Owen Sound.
