Police seek two suspects in Wasaga Beach robbery

WASAGA BEACH - On Feb. 4, 2019 at approximately 2:36 a.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Foodland grocery store at 711 River Rd. W., Wasaga Beach. 

Police were advised that two males entered the store in disguises and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Upon arrival Huronia West OPP with the assistance of our Central Region Emergency Response Team and our Canine Unit conducted an extensive search but did not locate the suspects.

First suspect is described as:

  • male
  • white
  • thin
  • in his late teens, early 20s
  • wearing a black hooded winter jacket, dark pants and black shoes with white soles

Second suspect is described as:

  • male
  • dark skinned
  • thin
  • in his late teens, early 20s
  • wearing a darker coloured hoodie sweatshirt (possibly grey or army green), and lighter coloured shoes
