COLLINGWOOD - Officers of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a report of a sexual assault and are asking for the public's assistance in the matter.

The incident took place on Feb. 26, 2018 on the walking trail in the area of Huron Street and Niagara Street in the Town of Collingwood where, shortly before 6 p.m. A female was approached by an unknown male and sexually assaulted.

The male is described as being approximately 40-years-old, having short grey hair, wearing dark jeans, a brown winter jacket and a yellow scarf.
