Police seek public assistance in Thornbury house fire investigation

Collingwood and The Blue Mountains are investigating a house fire that consumed and destroyed a $7-million home in Lora Bay early this morning.

Local police are asking for anyone with information that could assist in the investigation of the fire to call-in or submit a tip online. 

The fire occurred at 189 Lake Drive, and was called in by a neighbour at about 3 a.m. on Jan. 11. Fire Chief Steve Conn said there were between 21 to 27 firefighters on scene at the height of the blaze. The home was vacant at the time of the fire.

The home was a total loss and the Ontario Fire Marshal's office was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
