Police search for five suspects after Wasaga Beach robbery

Just after midnight on June 6, 2021 members of the Huronia West OPP responded to a report of a robbery on the boardwalk in front of Beach Area 2. 

The victim(s) got into a verbal argument with another group of people. During the argument, it is alleged that one of the suspects brandished a handgun. One of the victims was forced to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM machine. Two cell phones and a wallet were also stolen.

 Police conducted a search of the area following the incident with negative results.  

Police are now looking to identify five suspects, described as; 

  • Black male approx. 6'4" tall - very skinny with chin-length dreadlocks and Jamaican accent
  • Black male, approx. 6'3" tall - skinny, wearing a ski mask, black shirt
  • Black male, approx. 6' tall, white t-shirt, short hair, Jamaican accent
  • Black male, ski mask, skinny, 5'6".
  • Black female, 5'5", dark crop top, jean shorts, slim, long shoulder-length hair

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a dark coloured four-door sedan.
