Police report a series of vehicle thefts this week – Tree Streets hit again

Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have received reports of theft from motor vehicles and would like to remind area residents of some helpful Lock It or Lose It tips.

The thefts appear to have taken place overnight from the 9 to the 10 of April 2019 at four separate locations, namely on Cedar Street, Birch Street, Ninth Street and Campbell Street. Some loose change and a wallet with some cash was stolen from the vehicles and has not been recovered as of yet.

Police are asking that anyone with information contact the Collingwood/The Blue Mountains O.P.P. at (705) 445-4321 or, to remain anonymous you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can submit your information online at www.p3tips.com or if you have any information on this crime or any other crime.

Vehicle owners are reminded to roll up your vehicle windows, keep valuables out of sight or better yet remove them entirely from the vehicle, lock the doors and pocket the keys.
