WASAGA BEACH - Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police would like to remind all water users that the marine environment should always be treated with respect and can change without notice.

Over the past weekend the OPP Marine unit responded to two separate incidents on Georgian Bay. Both incidents were the result of a strong off shore wind that carried individuals on their inflatable water toys further out in the lake. One incident involved a 4 and 6 year old, with no PFD's. All parties were returned to safety without incident.

The OPP would like to remind the public to wear personal floatation devices (PFD) when heading out on the water.
