Police release images related to gas station robbery

Suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say

Members of the Crime Unit from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing their investigation in relation to a robbery which took place Monday night at a business on Hume Street.

The incident took place Feb. 22, 2021 shortly after 7 p.m. at the Canco Gas Station on Hume Street in Collingwood where a masked male entered the store, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The employee complied and the male fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators now have images of the suspect and involved vehicle.
