Police investigating sexual assault in Wasaga Beach

Members of the Crime Unit from the Huronia West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a sexual assault and are asking for the public’s assistance in solving this incident.

The occurrence took place on May 24 at approximately 10 p.m. on a walking trail off of Oxbow Park Drive, where the victim reports he was approached by a male suspect and was sexually assaulted shortly thereafter.

The suspect is described as 6’1” tall, average build and wearing a dark hoodie and dark grey pants.

Investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Huronia West OPP at 1-705-429-3575 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.

The OPP is reminding the public to always use caution and be aware of their personal safety at all times.
