Police charge backhoe driver, who was already suspended, with impaired

The police responded to a traffic complaint which led them to the driver

MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS - On March 20, 2019 at approximately 2:42 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint concerning a possible suspended driver operating a backhoe in the area of Grey Rd. 32 and Graham's Hill in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Police located the backhoe at the intersection of Grey Road 4 and Grey Road 13. The driver, who was known to police, was confirmed to be suspended as a result of a criminal driving offence.

50-year old Bradley Weatherall of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with Operation While Impaired.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on April 18, 2019. The backhoe was moved from the scene by a qualified driver/operator.
