Police charge 43 motorists for distracted driving near Collingwood

CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police Traffic Unit spent several hours over a two day period monitoring the traffic flow at the main intersection in Stayner. As a result Police in total stopped and charged 43 motorists for distracted driving.

 The Huronia West OPP remind all motorists that the safe operation of a motor vehicle requires your full attention and that distracted driving is one of our leading causes of serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions. Fines for distracted driving range from $1000 and $3000 and a driver's licence suspension of up to 30 days.
