Police arrest person found sleeping in Markdale ATM vestibule

GREY HIGHLANDS - On Nov. 7, 2020 at 7:28 a.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a suspicious person loitering on Toronto Street North in the Town of Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. 

OPP patrolled the area and located a person sleeping in the vestibule by an ATM machine in a bank lobby.

The person was bound by release conditions resulting from an unrelated occurrence. This person was found to not be complying with these conditions.

As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce OPP charged Brooke Beacock, 34 years of age from Orangeville, ON with failing to comply with undertaking, section 145(4)(a) Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is required to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on Jan. 28, 2021.
