Auxiliary officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting their annual Christmas toy and food drive on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6 2020.
The event this year will be in a 'drive-thru' format and will be taking place inside the large garage at the Collingwood detachment located at 201 Ontario Street in Collingwood.
This will allow donors to drive in from Ontario Street and into the garage, make their donation while practicing social distancing, and drive out of the property without ever having to exit their vehicle. Auxiliary officers will be on hand to guide the vehicles in and out of the garage as well as signage will be indicating the entrance and exit points.
This is a yearly event organized by the Collingwood/The Blue Mountains OPP Auxiliary officers benefiting the local Salvation Army and has always been a great opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer.
So come on over and donate for this worthy cause and help make someone's holidays more festive.
