One person not accounted for after house burns in Grey Highlands

Police and Ontario Fire Marshal are still investigating the fire that took place yesterday morning

On Jan. 9, 2020 at 7:14 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a fully engulfed house fire at Artemesia-Euphrasia Townline, east of Grey Road 13, Grey Highlands. At the scene OPP officers were able to account for two of the three occupants living in the home.   

Grey Highlands Fire Department and Grey County Paramedics attended the scene. One of the two occupants, at the scene, was transported to hospital by an ambulance with serious injuries.

Artemesia-Euphrasia Townline was closed in the area for half the day while Grey Highlands fire fighters battled the flames.

Police remain on the scene at this time and continue to investigate with the Ontario Fire Marshal the cause of the fire. The third occupant of the residence has not been accounted for at this time.
