More than $120K in drugs, cash seized during South Bruce bust

SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA - On Feb. 14, 2020, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Grey-Bruce OPP and Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property along Highway 21 in Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cocaine, heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and oxycodone pills. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is $93,105.

Police also seized offence related property that consisted of more than $31,000, firearm, ammunition, digital scales, a cell phone, debt lists and packaging material.

The accused, a 49-year-old resident of Owen Sound, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of LSD for the purpose of trafficking, possession of oxycodone, possess a firearm while prohibited, and possess ammunition while prohibited. They are scheduled to appear in court on March 19, 2020 to answer to the charges.
