The search for a man reported to police as "overdue" ended in tragedy on Friday as his body was pulled from Irish Lake in Markdale.
The body of Cliff Peddle, 41, from Grey Highlands was found in the lake by the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit of the OPP around 11:40 a.m. on Aug. 5.
Peddle had been reported as overdue just after 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 4. Police, fire, and EMS responded to the call.
The Grey Bruce OPP are continuing to investigate the incident. According to a news release from the OPP, they are being assisted by the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
