Man trapped under ATV 'for several hours' dies at hospital

The man was freed from under the ATV by emergency responders, succumbed to his injuries while in Toronto hospital

CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - On April 28, 2018, members of the Huronia West OPP, Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Lavender Hill Road in Clearview Township. An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a lone occupant were involved in the collision.

The initial investigation indicates the male occupant had been trapped under the ATV for several hours prior to emergency services being dispatched to the collision scene. The male was freed from under the ATV by emergency responders and transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. 

The male was then transported to Hospital in Toronto with life threatening injuries. The 33-year-old Clearview Township man succumbed to his injuries while in Toronto hospital.

The police investigation is continuing.
