London woman faces 15 charges in Wasaga Beach fraud investigation

She fled the scene driving dangerously, almost colliding with oncoming vehicles, police say

WASAGA BEACH - On May 11, 2019 members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a possible fraudulent transaction at the Money Mart in Wasaga Beach. Police were advised that an unknown female was requesting to make a $10,000 loan transaction, which they believed to be fraudulent. 

Upon arrival police were provided with a description of the female and the vehicle she was observed fleeing in. After extensive patrols police located the vehicle on Mosley Street, west of 45th Street.

The vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic, almost colliding with several oncoming vehicles. 

Once positioned and clear of other vehicles, police conducted a traffic stop on Lyons Court. 

The driver of the vehicle fled from police resulting in a short foot pursuit. 

Subsequently, Taylor Eugenio, 23 years old of London, Ont. was taken into custody and is now facing the following charges:

  • CC 380(1)(a) fraud over $5,000
  • CC 403(1) personation with intent (identity fraud)
  • CC 320.13(1) dangerous operation
  • CC 320.17 flight from peace officer
  • CC 355(a) possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • CC 355(b) possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 X 4
  • CC145(3) fail to comply with recognizance x6

She was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
