Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP officers were kept busy on the last long weekend of the summer.
Over the Labour Day weekend, police responded to 160 calls for service, resulting in four arrests. Officers also handed out 136 tickets for traffic violations, including two unsafe vehicles, which were towed.
The combined Collingwood and Huronia West OPP Marine Unit patrolled Georgian Bay and the Nottawasaga River. Officers responded to two distress calls and issued 20 tickets under the small vessel regulations of the Canada Shipping Act.
