Five injured in school bus vs. horse-drawn buggy collision near Hanover

Two individuals faced life-threatening injuries, but all have now been released from hospital.

ARRAN-ELDERSLIE - The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision on Concession 10 Elderslie and Sideroad 5 Elderslie in Arran-Elderslie. This investigation remains ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.

On Thursday, March 7, 2019, shortly after 4 p.m. South Bruce OPP, Grey County OPP, Saugeen Shores Police Service, Bruce County paramedic Services, and the Paisley Fire Department, responded to a collision involving a school bus and horse drawn buggy.

There were five injured individuals who were transported to hospital as a result of this collision. Two of these injured individuals were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

All five injured individuals who were transported to hospital have since been released from hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are asking any witnesses to contact the South Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
