Driver, 17, charged with stunt driving in Clearview Township

The Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police charged a teenager on Saturday after a vehicle was recorded going more than 92 km/hr over the posted speed limit in Clearview Township.

On March 11 just after 8 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on County Road 124 that had been travelling at 172 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.

A 17-year-old G2 driver from North York has been charged with "drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed," police said in a news release.

The driver received an immediate 30-day driver's licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
